  • What is the capacity of Garrison Gardens?
    We are able to accommodate 200 guests comfortably both in the Gardens and in Donavan Chapel. Our reception hall is able to seat 194 guests while still allowing room for dancing, food and drink stations, cake tables for the bride and groom, as well as space for a DJ.
  • What does renting Garrison Gardens include?
    Not only do we provide all the inclusions listed HERE, we pride ourselves on going the extra mile to provide an exceptional client experience - ensuring no detail is overlooked. If there is something we don't furnish that you're needing, we will do what we can to provide it or find someone who can!
  • Will there be on-site staff to assist us on our wedding day?
    Absolutely! Included in your package is a "day-of" coordinator, a sound engineer to run the sound during your ceremony, a parking attendant to assist your guests as they arrive, and a shuttle for those with mobility issues, we will also have everything set up according to your custom layout and ready to decorate when you arrive.
  • What are your decorating guidelines?
    Provided there is no detriment to any interior or exterior property in the gardens, feel free to decorate however you'd like! NO nails, glitter, or hot glue are permitted on any structures or surfaces. A more detailed guideline is provided as part of our GG Client Resource Guide.
  • Are sparklers permitted at Garrison Gardens?
    Sparklers are not permitted for safety reasons, but we do allow cold sparkler machines in outdoor areas.
  • Are candles permitted at Garrison Gardens?
    Candles are allowed, but there are a few guidelines for safety reasons which will be listed in your GG Client Resource Guide.
  • Will there be another wedding or tour the same day as my wedding?
    No way! You will have the venue all to yourself the day of your wedding.
  • What does cleanup entail?
    We only require you to take out your food, beverages, and decor - we'll take care of the rest!
  • Does Garrison Gardens help with wedding planning?
    We do not provide a full service wedding planner, however, one of our experienced coordinators will meet with you before your wedding day to help you design a perfect timeline to streamline your day, a custom floor layout for the perfect flow for your reception, and make sure every planning detail has been considered.
  • What furniture is included with my rental of the venue?
    We provide all guests tables and chairs for ceremony and reception, a custom sweetheart table for the bride and groom, tables for food service, family friendly drink station, and a bar for alcohol service. In, addition, we can provide a table for the bride's cake, a table for the groom's cake, a unity ceremony table, and a guestbook table.
  • Can we host a rehearsal dinner at Garrison Gardens?
    We are not able to accommodate rehearsal dinners at this time. Contact us or check your GG Client Resource Guide for a list of our favorite local spots.
  • When we have our ceremony rehearsal?
    For a weekend (2 and 3 day) package, your rehearsal will be the day before your wedding, and for a one day package, you will have a 30 minute rehearsal the morning of your wedding. Our coordinators will help you determine the best time for your rehearsal at your consultation and will be present for the rehearsal to direct as needed.
  • Can we have our engagement photo session at Garrison Gardens?
    Absolutely! Every bride and groom is given up to two consecutive hours for either a bridal session or engagement session (by appointment only). Of course, you will be responsible for scheduling with your photographer.
  • Are there overnight accommodations nearby?
    Absolutely! We are located just 20 minutes from Texarkana and have a wide variety of cozy places to stay nearby. Once booked, you will receive a list of our favorite hotels who provide a discounted rate just for GG clients!
  • What do we need to know about parking and transportation?
    A parking attendant and shuttle operated by GG staff will be provided to assist guests with mobility issues to and from the ceremony site and reception.
  • Do we need to schedule a tour or can we just stop by?
    We require that you book an appointment to tour the venue. You can click here to book online, or you can contact us to book directly!
  • How do we secure our wedding date?
    A non-refundable deposit of $1,000 will secure your chosen date. This goes directly toward your package of choice.
  • When are payments due and how do you accept payment plans?
    We require a non-refundable $1,000 deposit to book your date, half the remaining balance is due 120 days prior to your wedding, and the final payment is due 60 days prior to your wedding.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    We accept cash, check, Venmo, CashApp, and credit card (a 4% processing fee is required for all credit card payments).
  • Do you have any hidden fees or taxes?
    Absolutely not! Your investment will not include any hidden fees or taxes of any kind.
  • Is special event liability insurance a requirement?
    Insurance is not a requirement unless you are serving alcohol, but we do highly encourage it.
  • Does Garrison Gardens offer catering?
    We absolutely do! However, you are NOT required to use our catering services and will receive a list of other exception local caterers as part of your GG Client Resource Guide.
  • Do you allow alcohol?
    Yes, we do! However, in order to serve alcohol, we require you to use our licensed bartender and security attendant for an additional fee. You will also be required to provide proof of Special Event Liability Insurance which we will be happy to help you line up.   • Does Garrison Gardens provide alcohol or do we bring our own?
    We do not provide alcohol. Provided you have booked our required licensed bartender and security attendant and provided proof of Special Event Liability Insurance, you are welcome to bring your own! Guests are not permitted to bring alcohol on the premises.
